Last term's learning

Our current learning

This term we will start with our traditional Scottish focus in the lead up to the whole school Burns supper. The Primary 1s will be learning about life in Scotland through reading about Kate Morag and her adventures. We will help her to deliver and sort the mail in our class Post Office and get creative making Scottish flags and we are learning a Scottish poem; Rougey Pougey by JK Annand. We will be learning to sing Katie Bairdie and learn the St. Bernard’s Waltz.

We will also be learning about money during money week, learning to identify coins and use money to buy items in our class supermarket.

Class events

We will present our Scottish song, poetry winner and dance at our Burns Supper We will continue to make regular visits to William Patrick library and we will also start regular sessions at Hillhead Community Garden.

Forest School will continue on Tuesday afternoons, please remember to wear play-clothes and wear suitable footwear and jacket.

PE 

Primary 1 has PE on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Please remember to pack suitable gym wear for these days.
