Last term's learning

Last term P4/5B enjoyed learning about different types of natural disasters and how these affect landscapes and human life. We also took part in the National Book Week celebrations, this included; library visits, the Book Bus, Storytelling Sessions and lots of interesting lessons linked to our class story, ‘Dragon Breath’.

Finally, the pupils performed very well during our class assembly, sharing their learning with family members and other classes.

Our current learning

This term, we will start with our traditional Scottish focus in the lead up to the whole school Burns Supper. We will be comparing major Scottish cities by researching population, famous landmarks and people.

During Money Matters week we will be learning how to manage a budget to design and make a healthy fruit smoothie. Following on from this, we will be focusing on science and RME before a final celebrating diversity focus week in which we will be learning about the Paralympic Games.

Our PE focus for this term will be fitness and as part of our learning we will be designing and recording a new fitness video.

Class events

The school Burns Supper will be taking place at the end of January. Pupils will also have the chance to share their learning from Money Week during a whole school presentation.

PE

P5/4B’s PE takes place on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. Please remember to bring PE kit on these days.
