Last term's learning

P7/6B had a very busy term in the run up to Christmas. We learned about different types of transport, including a visit to the transport museum that included a trip on the Glasgow subway. We also took part in the National Book Week celebrations, writing, designing and creating our own picture books to be read to Primary 1. Finally, the pupils performed very well during our class assembly, displaying their learning across lots of different areas.

Our current learning

This term, we will start with our traditional Scottish focus in the lead up to the whole school Burns supper. The Primary 7s will be taking part in the Burns Supper Performance as part of the top table, while the whole class will have a focus on Scottish geography. We will also be looking at mobile phones during money week, learning to solve money problems involving apps, accessories and payment plans. Following on from this, we will be learning about the Scottish wars of independence before a final celebrating diversity focus week on

Class events

The whole school Burns Supper will be taking place at the end of January and will have our second class assembly in March. Some of the class will also be taking part in outdoor education on a number of Thursdays throughout the term. The Primary 7s involved will be doing a combination of rock-climbing and hillwalking, while the Primary 6s will be doing bikability.

PE

P7/6B’s PE takes place on Monday and Thursday afternoons. Please remember to bring PE kit on these days.
